BRT SECTION 5 JOHANNESBURG


The implementation of the Bus Rapid Transit System which is characterised by dedicated bus lanes, bus stations in the median, level boarding, pedestrian walkways and crossings. The project was done as a design construct initiative between Lonerock, Katide, Nyeleti and UWP engineers.

ROUTE N12 SECTION 18 FROM UNCLE CHARLIE'S TO ELANDS


The project which forms part of the Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project (GFIP) is for the strengthening and capacity improvements of the National Route 12, Section 18 between Uncle Charlie's Interchange and the Elands Interchange. The following capacity improvements were required: Adding of a 4th lane to the east and west bound carriageway. Upgrading of Klipriver interchange. Upgrading of Camaro interchange to a partial clover configuration. Upgrading of Klipriver, Reading, Voortrekker, Xavier and Elands interchanges. Construction of the new N12/N17 interchange. Pavement rehabilitation were required for both flexible and ridged pavements. Widening and new loops consisted of flexible pavement design.

CHARLES STREET


The project is for the upgrading/doubling of Charles Street between Atterbury Road and Queen Wilhelmina Drive. The scope requires the implementation of a 4-lane dual carriageway road with new storm water infrastructure.
